Community Bank
Community > Community Bank
Community Bank is the pilot project conceived and implemented by the CAUTO Network in 2014, which gives life to a real model based on exchange economies and on the enhancement of resources, skills and social relations, able to generate community welfare.
CAUTO's Social Workshop sector, made up of social innovation experts, mobilises bottom-up processes in the territories that facilitate the formation of participatory networks. The method is co-design, the outcome is social cohesion generating concrete solutions for communities.
In each context, community welfare takes shape in a place of exchange, based on a sharing platform: a physical and virtual space where citizens, associations and companies meet to exchange goods, time and skills, generating sharing and a proximity economy.
Community Bank is an innovative model of cooperation and mutuality between local stakeholders: a place where supply and demand, needs and solutions meet.
With the Community Bank, the principles expressed by the circular economy of reuse and non-waste are made concrete, but at the same time processes typical of the solidarity economy are set in motion, which make participation and the sharing of resources their key assets.
The drivers of the CAUTO Network - environmental action, social action and interconnected action - are condensed into a replicable and transferable model to bring the global principles of Holistic Ecology to life locally.
